Runners and Supporters arrive Lagos Nigeria via Murtala Mohammed International Airport after 12 noon and check into the hotel.
Estimated cost of the recommended Lagos hotel is $70 per night including breakfast!

Runners and Supporters leave Lagos for Ile -Ife via Osogbo where we will visit the Osun Osogbo Sacred Grove, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Thereafter we will visit Nike Centre for Arts and culture, where the birth of contemporary African art was heralded. Get ready to get lost to the beats of traditional drummers and dancers before settling down to a sumptuous meal. (Cost of lunch estimated at $10)

6am: An organized 5km run (optional)
9am to 10am: Pick Up Race Bags, tour the marathon route and visit the National Museum, Ile-Ife
2pm: Late lunch at the Ooni’s Palace
6pm: Free Time
6pm to 8pm: Race Pick Up
Sunday February 2. 2020 5:45 am:
Race Starts on the Sports grounds of the OAU campus and winds through the beautiful University Campus and ancient city of Ile-Ife bringing “gown and town” together. The race ends at the Ooni of Ife’s Palace!

Option 1. Depart Ile-Ife and fly back home

Option 2. Continue to Ikogosi Ekiti where lies the meeting point of a Warm Spring and a Cold Spring. http://ikogosiresort.net/
The day will be spent in this rural western Nigerian village where you will be once again in touch with nature in the form of rolling hills and lush green vegetation. Don't forget your swimming gear so you can soak yourself in the warm pool fed directly by the warm spring claimed to have therapeutic properties.

Take the 30 minute flight to Cotonou, Capital of the Republic of Benin either by Asky Airline or ComAir.

Morning - Visit neighboring towns of Ouidah, Vodoun Temple, Slaves’ path (Porte du Non Retour) and nice sunshine beach with fishermen in activities.....
Evening - Visit Ganvie from where the 130 km drive to Abomey will commence. Stay the night at Abomey.

Morning - Visit the King of Dahomey’s Palace.
Afternoon - Drive 300 km to Parakou and join the Pasta party!

Depart Parakou by Taxi/Bus for Cotonou and fly back home via Cotonou International Airport.
Total cost for the Parakou Marathon adventure from pick up at the Cotonou airport to drop off at the Cotonou airport with all fees included (travel - hotels - visits - classic meals) will be advised by the Race Director Guillaume Kambounon
