FRIENDS OF ILE-IFE HERITAGE MARATHON
NICK BUTTER RUNS IN NIGERIA
British endurance athlete, Nick Butter, set out to run a marathon in every country of the world in January of 2018. He will be the first person to accomplish this feat when he successfully completes his mission. Nick will be running through 196 countries including war-torn areas and places of political unrest to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.
He will arrive Nigeria on June 16, 2018 and run the Nigerian leg of his mission on June 17, 2018. He will be accompanied by the winner of the maiden edition of Ile-Ife Heritage Marathon (IHM), Peter Olayinka, and a few friends of IHM.
Wave, smile, run a few kilometers with him or just stop to say a few words of encouragement if you run into them along their route on Sunday the 17th of June, 2018 in the Lekki/ Ikoyi area of Lagos.

15 year old Peter Pan Olayinka becomes the first winner of the Ile-Ife heritage Marathon with a record time of
2 hours:44 minutes. He is given a well deserved carry by his fellow runners.
